Resonance
Resonance is the manifestation of one's own emotions into physical form. There are currently nine resonance types known, listed below.
Resonance Class Tiers
The Resonance Control Association (otherwise known as the RCA) has categorized all nine current recognized emotional resonances into four tiers, known as "classes". Each class is a signifier of how accepted a particular emotional resonance is in society, as well as the dangers they possess.
Class 1
Class 1 is comprised of resonances that are most commonly accepted by society. They are abilities that are commonly used in both the workforce and everyday life, from jobs such as construction and farming to the resonances the officers of the Resonance Control Assocation (RCA) use to subdue threats.
Class 1 resonances are the emotions that are taught the most in education, and are the easiest ones to obtain a license for; One simply needs to enroll for a resonance control test at an RCA office for a small fee. Testing regarding resonance prowess, mental fortitude, and physical capabilities are done to ensure the individual in question is suited to legally use resonance in the workforce.
Class 1 emotions consist of 
Joy, 
Rage, and 
Sorrow.
Class 2
Class 2 resonances are resonances that, while legal, are not as recognized or accepted in society as class 1 resonances. This varies for a variety of reasons, whether it be the danger that particular resonance possesses, the social stigma behind it, or outlying political reasons. Compared to class 1 resonances, it is much harder to obtain a license to legally use class 2 resonances. Extensive tests and questioning is required, to ensure an individual is fit to use a particular resonance and has no ill will when using it.
Class 2 emotions consist of 
Lust, 
Confidence, and 
Guilt.
Please note that while Confidence resonance is considered a Class 2 resonance in Thymossia, it is considered the only officially recognized resonance in Orgala.
Class 3
Class 3 resonances are resonances that are deemed to be unfit for regular citizen use, and thus are widely banned outside of federal associations. They are considered to be too dangerous to control and allow in everyday life, due to their purely disruptive abilities and having no conventional positive use in civilian life.
Anyone suspected of class 3 resonance use is subject to an investigation by the RCA, with heavy consequences being carried out if one is found using them, with the loss of gaining a resonance license and revoking of all current licenses to be the minimum punishment. Due to their heavy stigmatization, it is extremely difficult for one convicted of class 3 resonance usage to find a job in the workforce.
Class 3 emotions consist of 
Fear and 
Envy.
Class 4
The most dangerous and untrustworthy out of all emotional resonances. RCA personnel Section 2 and above are ordered to purge class 4 resonance users on sight. If you are a citizen and have reasonable suspicion someone you know wields or is practicing class 4 resonance, contact your nearest RCA office immediately.
Class 4 emotions consist of Hatred.
Resonance Refraction
When a resonance user is overcome by the emotion(s) they practice, and is unable to control them, they "refract" and transform into a monstrous being. Refraction is often caused by traumatic events, but that is not always explicitly the case. For example, a user of Joy resonance can be thrown into a state of extreme mania after an extremely fortunate event occurs in their life, while a user of Sorrow can be overcome by despair over the loss of a loved one, both which can end in refraction if the user cannot control their emotions. Refraction can be avoided as long as said invidividual can keep a clear head and sense of self.
